We put a lot of care & effort into every vinyl decal we produce. The vinyl we use is specially designed for wall application with a beautiful matt finish. This minimises glare from light reflection which can be very obvious on gloss vinyl’s, giving you a stunning paint like effect on your chosen surface. Once we have cut the vinyl, it is then weeded by hand before applying the application tape & cut down to size, to be sent out in one of our recycled cardboard tubes straight to your door. APPLICATION & SURFACES Although the vinyl used is designed for use mostly for use on walls, it will literally stick to any smooth surface you can think of. Metal, plastic, glass, wood, cars, windows, drums, floors, ceilings, walls, fridges etc. As long as your surface is smooth & free from dirt, then this vinyl will stick on it. Vinyl wall decals can prove slightly more difficult than our smaller decals due to the size of some of them. Although it is easier with two people, it can still be applied by one. All our vinyl’s come with application instructions, so don’t worry if you get a bit stuck. WHY WALL DECALS SOMETIMES DON’T ADHERE A lot of different factors can impact how well a vinyl decal adheres to the wall. Some of the most common ones include: Dirty Walls: If your walls aren’t totally clean, the wall decal will stick to the dirt & grime, not the wall. New Paint: If you painted your wall recently, the paint emits gases up to 2 weeks after it dries. These gases can cause the adhesive to fail. We recommend that you allow freshly painted walls or surfaces to properly cure (dry) for at least 6 weeks before applying decals. Cold Walls/Vinyl: When the walls or the decal are too cold, the vinyl won’t stick properly to the wall. Unfinished Walls: Wall decals stick poorly to unfinished or unpainted walls (including brick walls). Old, peeling paint can also keep your decal from sticking. If your walls are unfinished or unpainted, take care of that before applying your decal. Textured Walls: Some vinyl types don’t adhere to walls with any sort of texturing. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY TO TEXTURED WALLS Too Dry: If you wait too long after receiving your wall decal before applying it, the adhesive will dry out, much like glue. Sealants: Using sealants on your wall can actually prevent the decal from
