Vintage Emerald & Diamond 18Ct Gold Drop Earrings. Stunning Quality Emeralds

Exquisite Vintage Emerald & Old European Cut Diamond 18ct Yellow & White Gold Drop Earrings. Pair of very well matched , superb emeralds, the colour & clarity we do not see on modern ones today. The emeralds are mounted in 18ct yellow gold whilst the diamonds are mounted in 18ct white gold. (The proper way to mount them!) A good white clean old European cut diamond at the top of each approx. 4mm in diameter (0.20cts each) makes a statement on its own, but then to add to that a drop bar set with three small diamonds terminates with an emerald at the bottom. Emeralds each measure approx. 4.5mm x 6mm. Estimated combined weight 1.00 carats. They are securely ‘millgrain’ set , the term millgrain taken from the French word mille for a thousand, & from grain as the same meaning in English, it refers to what appears to be thousands of tiny beads upon a metal precipice or edge. They are articulated & move beautifully catching the light. The emeralds in these earrings are particularly clear & a beautiful green & the diamonds are clean, white & bright. Overall measurement of approx. 21.8mm x 5.00mm. Combined weight 3.0g. We have replaced the posts & scrolls with new quality ones for security.
