Tunni Reclaimed Scaffolding Board Media Unit with Vintage Filing Cabinet Components & a Distressed Sheet Steel Patchwork Feature Wall Our Company Founder & Senior Designer calls these bespoke feature walls ‘wow walls’, they create a wow moment in any room. The unit featured here was created for a teenage-hang out & gaming zone. The starting point of inspiration for the commission were some stunning reclaimed wooden shutters - we love to reuse vintage & antique pieces & give them a new lease off life. These were worked on until they showed their true & beautiful colours, & used to hide an unsightly boiler. The theme of the commission was ‘destruction’ & the look & feel had to be grungy but clean & crisp. We added vintage filing cabinet doors, which we stripped & distressed. We’ve developed a great process for this, & it creates amazing patinations, we then preserve the result for all time by clear powder coating them. There is also a small fridge incorporated behind the vintage filing cabinet facade, so the teenagers have the ultimate hang-out space with cold drinks always available. Lastly the distressed sheet metal backing creates a striking feature, & a real talking point. This design can be recreated to your exact specifications. The system pictured here is 5126mm wide x 2410mm tall x 600mm deep.
