The 1900s bar style brooch has been modelled in the form of a chick, engaging with a fine & impressive seed pearl in the form of an egg. The chick is ornamented with an impressive cabochon ruby eye. The antique chick & egg brooch secures with a safety pin style fastening, & is hallmarked to the side of bar setting with the mark for 15 ct gold (15CT). This antique yellow gold brooch is fitted to a hinged leatherette presentation case with a satin & velvet lined interior, securing with a push fit catch. The interior of the box bears the retailer’s mark ‘Gieves 27 Old Bond Street London W1’. Images do not always reflect the true colour & brilliance of gemstones & diamonds.
