From the beautiful dark red apples, the cinnamon brown, the creamy flesh of the apple & even the black seeds: this rug has all the colors that remind me of apple butter day in the fall! This rug was made from an heirloom bedspread (fringe included), cinnamon brown cotton broadcloth & about 25 pairs of wine colored socks (new factory waste socks). I love how much texture this rug has. It will look beautiful in all designs…a farmhouse, a dorm room, bohemian, country, shabby chic, rustic, industrial, in a nursery on the floor or as a wall hanging in your home office. They are good sturdy rugs that will hold their color. The rug can also be washed in a washing machine, & I recommend giving it a swift shake & hanging to dry. Sometimes I throw mine over a door to dry. I started making rugs 29 years ago. I use 12 strands of heavy duty cotton warp per inch. This keeps the rug from falling apart like some rugs you might buy at a retail store. They will keep their color for years to come. They are also reversible.
