I wanted to create a dog design where the dogs had lots of character and looked like doodles. I didn't want to concentrate too much on different breed instead of creating a Mutley crew of characters. I started the design by making smudgy marks on paper with paint and different shaped brushes. I then worked into the shapes with ink creating quirky dog faces which I later made into an all-over print.
