A very pretty painted 19th century Toleware ( Tinware)wine glass cooler with decorative scalloped edges & handles 21 cm high ,28 cm wide with a lovely aged patina completing a historical composition. One can only imagine back in the early 19th century this lovely toleware filled with wine glasses & ice supported on the waved edges & the stories it could tell . These old wine coolers make lovey jardinires with their faded elegance & beautiful proportions. This one is in good condition with wear commiserate with age . There are the odd marks scratches & the hand painted design has faded over time but it is still there & only adds to its decorative qualities. A lovely jardiniere for a drawing room table , hallway , sideboard or garden room to bring that timeless & eclectic English style into your decor .
