Each design is printed with multiple layers of ink to build up the design & help to prevent fading & helps the ink affix to the mat fibers better. M A T E R I A L S: The top layer of our doormat is made with coconut fibers A.K.A. coir. The bottom layer is made from a non-slip backing that keeps your doormat in place for your wiping pleasure. (backing colors may vary) H O W T O C A R E F O R Y O U R D O O R M A T: Coir doormats prefer a dry, covered area to be happy. To last longer, your doormat likes to be dry. If you wet your doormat, it may fade or become discolored. Your doormat may shed from time to time. This is completely normal just sweep, shake or vacuum your doormat.
