If you are looking for something special, with a story to match, then look no further… YE OLDE TAVERN, a fabulous hand crafted mini bar / drinks cabinet / bottle storage cabinet made from a retired Scotch Whisky barrel. These barrels most likely originate from the bourbon rich area of Kentucky or Tennessee, USA & were later used in the Scotch whisky industry. They are decades old & made of solid oak. This is no ordinary machine made bar, it comes with a wonderful story, having served both the US & Scotch whisky industry for many a year…. a wonderful talking point & something you will most definitely struggle to find on the High Street. YE OLDE TAVERN is made from half of a solid oak barrel. The cabinet has a feature wine bottle rack in the centre for 5 standard size wine bottles. It has a lower compartment for smaller bottles (up to approx 27 cm) & an upper compartment for larger bottles (up to a height of approx 32cm). It stores up to two dozen bottles. It’s slimline design makes this a very popular item as it fits comfortably in most homes …. or even a bar type establishment. It is suited to almost every room, from hallway to living room. The integrated glass holder stores around 5 small to medium sized wine glasses. There is also a distressed copper bottle opener. We sympathetically restore our barrels, taking extra care to ensure they retain all their original character & rustic appeal. The oak on the inside is stunning. It is charred from when the barrels were first ’toasted’ & oozes rustic appeal. The outside of Ye Olde Tavern has all the character you would expect to see from a barrel with decades of service. Cabinet lights are a fantastic way of illuminating the contents of your bar & offering a lovely mood light setting (not included).
