The feet, beak, ‘horns’ & ‘feathers’ are carved from wood. The rest is a finely woven wood /wicker / rattan over what I can only imagine is a wood ‘center’! & what a beautiful job. As you can see from photos, there are a couple chipped toenails. Otherwise in excellent vintage condition. Love the YELLOW GLASS EYES! & love the finely woven wagon wheel discs behind them!
