The shine on this vintage vase & its spectacular bouquet is amazing. The over 40 hand-set (by me), faceted AB & clear rhinestones glitter like crazy. The pre-set faceted & clear rhinestones are brilliant. This stunning vintage piece pulls light to it, then radiates more light back. This gorgeous, ornate cut LEADED GLASS VASE with a total overlay of pristine 22K GOLD GILT PAINT vase was made by IMPERIAL & is in mint condition. Originally a shaker (for sugar or powder), this lass has been conscripted into being a vase. Made at the tail end of the ART DECO era, the finely cut leaded glass is extremely ornate & all of it is painted or flashed in 22K GOLD GILT PAINT. There are curved panels between each glass area, & there the glass is clear, which, against the bold GOLD detail, really makes the gold stand out. The vase itself, WITHOUT FLOWERS, stands 3 1/4 high by 2 1/4 wide. When you add the flowers, the myriad rhinestone accents, the VENETIAN vintage leaves, etc. the height can reach 6, & the width will reach 5. There is a darling BRASS bird which flies above bouquet. Attached to a wire, this lovely etched bird is ever so enchanting (see photos). The bouquet holds over 45 very ornate & detail-oriented HAND MADE flowers which resemble a real bouquet in that they jockey for position. Some are higher than others. Others fight to be seen. Some languidly droop over the sides, front or back: a fabulous array. in keeping with the appearance of the vase, only shades of gold & clear rhinestones (AB & clear) were utilized in making her flowers. The addition of amazing VINTAGE VENETIAN GLASS LEAVES in gold & clear makes for a fantastic, ethereal & rich look. These leaves are very very old & were covered (whether clear or gold) with a peppering of luxe 22K gold gilt sprinkles (they do not come off on the hands like glitter). There are also several deep gold wired hand torched , slim pieces which may read orange in the photos, but which are, in point of fact, gold, but imbued with so many colors by the artisan who made them with a torch, they can pick up the colors of all the flowers around them. The grouping also includes HAND MADE GOLD SPIRAL STICK PINS that are coated with a LUSTER STARDUST COATING that makes them shimmer like mad. Myriad vintage & some current pieces were used to make the flowers, leaves & bead caps. Among the items used to make the bouquet are (but not limited to) are: genuine gold baroque & freshwater pearls, vintage SWAROVSKI crystals, PRECOSIA crystals, genuine yellow PEARLS, genuine YELLOW MOTHER OF PEARL (MOP) with channel-set rhinestones, rounds of various sizes with inset rhinestones, faceted gold beads, vintage Czech gold ribbed beads, gold filigree beads, brass filigree bead caps, vintage brass bead caps, etched vintage brass leaves, torched GOLDEN glass, gold speckled vintage CZECH long beads, vermeil, rhinestone rondelles, vintage clear, genuine cut CRYSTAL leaf beads, faceted blown glass leaves, faceted genuine PYRITE
