This drawing & calligraphy set has been especially formulated to showcase a range of different mark making capabilities based on the differing characteristics of the pigments used. The set comprises of 4 x 15 ml bottles of handmade ink in the following colours: Oak gall ink - historical black ink made from oak gall apples which are made from acorn buds that have been genetically modified by the oak gall wasp. This velvety matte ink goes down dark grey & dries an intense black. Permanent & lightfast Carbon black ink - oak gall ink with carbon black added. SHAKE WELL. Permanent & lightfast Walnut ink - Warm dark brown ink made from English walnut husks. This ink is not wholly lightfast & will fade if left in direct sunlight for long periods of time. Granulating oak gall ink. Oak gall ink made with English oak galls from Hampshire. This ink is a granulating oak gall ink.
