On offer are these two charming miniature shakers / pepperettes. They’re in good condition overall, the remaining silver plate shines up well still - notable ware however over the taller shaker exposing the base nickel silver (brassy tone) as well as notable light scuffs & scratches over them both commensurate with age; notable darkened tarnish to the grooves of the smaller shaker as well as verdigris / oxidation marks around the shoulder / neck area but as shown all adding to the aged charm & character of them. The underside of the taller shaker also shows numerous dents (please refer to images). They’re of different traditional forms, decorated with vertical grooves which display ever so well still. The taller shaker features a screw-on top. Both insides have extensively darkened with ware, tarnish build-up & oxidation / verdigris. The taller shaker would’ve been produced in Sheffield, the smaller is marked for Denmark, both circa third quarter of the 20th century. They measure a charming 5.6cm (around 2 & 1/4 inches) & 10.2cm (4 inches) in total outer height & despite the condition issues raised are ready to be collected & enjoyed once again!
