The blue on white is folded over & stitched creating the scalloped accent which is embroidered in blue. My favorite color of blue, I call Swiss Blue. & I did find it in Switzerland. Rather hard to explain as the photo colors don’t help. As with damask, it catches the light differently. The first photos are best for color, as the later greyed ones show the pattern. I’ve spent way too much time trying to get accurate images. No stains or aged coloring. I’ve freshly laundered & pressed for you to use right away. So I’ll just tell you it is beautiful in person! So delightful to pull up over you like a cloud as you settle down for a nap. I use 2 different in my living area, one on my chaise & another on the sofa, to cuddle under. Also of course at the foot of all the beds. They are also perfect for daybeds & for children, or youth beds, used in the European way with no top sheet. These covers were originally purposed to protect the more prized blankets or down duvets from body oils. These were originally used in Europe as individual covers , & what a great idea, as body temperatures usually vary! One for you & one for me!
