Handmade ceramic stemless wine glass, tumbler was made on pottery wheel fom red clay, fired for the first time & after that soaked in milk & baked a second time at low temperature. Milking is one of the oldest & probably the most environmentally friendly way to decorate pottery. It is used to give ceramic ware water resistance & an authentic look. in the process of this firing, calcium & casein contained in the milk clog the micropores of the ceramic surfaces, as a result of which the dishes cease to absorb moisture. in addition, the products acquire a uniform pleasant color. Milking is a completely natural method of processing ceramic dishes. No artificial chemicals are used in this type of firing, so the resulting dishes when heated do not emit hazardous substances, do not react with food during cooking.
