A magnificent & rare silver plated champagne bucket with removable cover, made by the top notch French silversmith, Cailar Bayard of Paris, fully marked on the underside. Cailar & Bayard, 37 rue Grange-aux-Belles, Paris, founded in 1848 by Noel Cailar & Pierre Bayard. The firm closed in 1934 & was taken over by the famous Maison Christofle. Just back from our silversmith’s workshop where it has been professionally cleaned & polished, restoring it to it’s former glory; dating to the Art Deco era, c.1920/1930. Beautiful quality & condition spanning 9 1/2 handle to handle x 7 1/2 x 8 tall.
