Blue Bubble Glazed Porcelain Bowl , Thin Walled & Wonky With A Thick Bottom, Tea Bowl, Condiments Bowl, Prep Salt Nut Bowl

This is a blue porcelain bowl that was thrown on the potter’s wheel. It is very small, & very thin, except the very base & foot, & a little our of shape. This is because, sometimes I start with a large amount of clay & as I throw it & shape it, it gets out of whack, & I try & save it by trimming off the wrecked bits. This happens over & over, until I am only left with a tiny, wonky bowl with paper thin walls, & a thick bottom. But, it survived the first firing! It was then decorated with a blue underglaze using a bubble glaze technique. This involves blowing the glaze through a straw to create bubbles, & then laying them carefully across the piece to create the bubble design. Then it was fired al second time & a clear glaze was applied. The bowl was fired a third & final time to above 2300 degrees. It is food safe, dishwasher safe, microwave safe & oven safe.
