Description: An excellent example of a large & impressive premium quality Victorian silver mount claret jug. The mount features a wonderfully details Bacchus mask with fruiting vine tentril & heavy cast vine shaped handle. The crystal body etched with stylised palmette decoration with geometric border all on star cut foot. The silver collar is fully hallmarked for Martin Hall, 1868. Condition: The jug is in excellent condition considering that this piece is over 150 years old. The silver shows no splits or damage. There are no monograms, the hinge is a little loose. The glass is not cloudy or stained & is in good order.
