This is a beautiful Old Hall Campden sugar sifter, caster or shaker, designed by Robert Welch in about 1960. Made from 18/8 polished stainless steel (18% Chromium & 8% Nickel) it’s a much copied design, but this is a true original! Welch had an unerring eye for Modernist/Minimalist design, combining form & function in the simplest articles & elevating them to true art objects. This piece is from the Campden design range. A stylish bulb shape, the top section unscrews & has a nice overlap to avoid spillage. Very ergonomic & satisfyingly attractive! It is back-stamped with the 1960s Olde Hall trade mark & England. About 8cm maximum diameter x 8.5cm tall. 200g weight. in excellent vintage condition with a few surface hairline marks & rubs from use as shown. Please have a good look at the photos. Perfect on the table for summer strawberries & breakfast pancakes, for baking or any Sweet occasion! Great for coffee topping powders & pepper, chilli & spices too, if you like lots of kick! Listed NON U.K. shipping is Standard Air Mail with an Express/Tracked upgrade option available at checkout. 1960S Old Hall
