Try your hand using our homemade artisan black walnut ink! It is the perfect media for calligraphy projects using any dip pen. Or create gorgeous sepia paintings as shown using the ink as a watercolor medium. Each batch of ink is produced from native Georgia black walnuts, triple brewed & strained to produce a thick quality ink in a rich brown color. Each inkwell is unique also & provides that extra special touch by being packaged in a re-purposed vintage ink bottle ranging in dates from the 1900’s - 1970’s. Be cautious if you have a nut sensitivity or allergy. Product is derived by boiling down walnut flesh. See process pictures listed. Ingredients also include rubbing alcohol & clove oil as a preservative. Shake the bottle each time before use. Rubbing alcohol will separate to the top if left sitting for prolonged time. FYI: Walnut ink has a natural earthy musky scent. This is natural to walnuts & doesn’t indicate mold or spoilage. Clove oil has been added to the mixture to sweeten this scent.
